The Screen Actors Guild union and American Federation of Television Radio Artist union are almost merged into one union!
This fight conversation has been ongoing for so many years, and it looks like SAG may finally bite the bullet and merge, now that AFTRA is gaining more productions than EVER!
After nine days of discussing the long-overdue merge, both presidents of each union (SAG and AFTRA), say they think the deal will be a ‘go’ when they have the final meeting and contract signing on Jan. 27 to make the merge final.
Rumor has it, the announcement of the merge will be made at the SAG Awards on TV on Jan. 30.
No word yet on what the new union combo name will be! Gasp! History! Huge!
