Victoria’s Secret Models Starving for Their Jobs…

Wait a sec! I thought it was ‘hot’ to eat again?!

On one end of the modeling/acting/entertainment industry, females are comfortable with their curves and so is their employer. On the other end, there is still this unethical starvation going on to keep a model’s job.

For Victoria’s Secret models, the industry standard is to be skinny and toned… and apparently hungry and really thirsty!!!

Super Model Adriana Lima who models for Victoria’s Secret, just revealed her shocking diet while interviewing about the upcoming VS runway show which will be televised. She was more than likely honest about what she does to ‘get ready’ for the runway show, but her PR went crazy when they heard what she told the press! Lima had to go back and do damage control and even eat cake during the interview to prove she’s not starving.

First, Lima said told UK’s Daily Telegraph that she works out twice a day and drinks only protein shakes for nine days. She indulges in no solids for those days, and then, for 12 hours before the show, “No liquids at all so you dry out, sometimes you can lose up to eight pounds just from that”.

Then, after people were shocked that she doesn’t eat real food for 9 days and doesn’t drink water for 12 hours, Lima immediately told ET Canada an adjusted version of the story- saying it was a “misunderstanding” what she told the Telegraph before. Lima even had coffee, water and cake in her dressing room to show the press.

Lima said about her crazy diet, “I know it’s very intense but… I just have an athlete’s mind and I appreciate doing this thing. It’s not that I do crazy diets throughout the year. I just do it for this particular thing. After this show, I become normal again.”

Lima does this diet ‘only for the runway show’? Doubt it! How bout all of the photo shoots?! They look this way in the mags.
