Naomi Campbell as a Chocolate Bar? She is Not Amused. A new Cadbury chocolate ad that surfaced in the UK compares Naomi Campbell to their new Dairy Milk Bliss Bar and she is not amused.
The supermodel is looking at “every option available” including legal action in response to the ad. The ad reads, “Move over Naomi, there’s a new diva in town.” and shows the candy bar amongst a sea of diamonds. Campbell told the UK Independent, “I am shocked. It’s upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me, but for all black women and black people. I do not find any humor in this. It is insulting and hurtful.” Cadbury said in a statement that it had pulled the ads and that, “It was certainly never our intention to cause any offense.”
