Prince Harry arrived in America yesterday for a game of Polo at the Governor’s Island at New York Harbor for the ‘Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic’. Today, Saturday, he visited and toured Harlem’s Children Zone, a community organization that offers families social and educational services.
The Polo match was to raise charity for African orphan children that are battling AIDS. His mother Princess Diana was the reason why Harry set up the charity.
Harry told the Associated Press: “The prince [Prince Seeiso of Lesotho] and I both lost our mothers when we were very young,” Harry told a pre-match VIP gathering. “We set up Sentebale [Harry’s charity org] in their memory, and because my mother loved this city, it makes this occasion all the more poignant for me.”
Other celebs that attended the match were Chloe Sevigny, Kate Hudson, and designer Marc Jacobs, who was seen chatting to Madonna and her sons Rocco and David.
