Marissa Lybarger ID’d As Young FL Victim In Fatal I-4 Seminole County Chevy Malibu Vs Dump Truck Crash

A 21-year-old Lake Mary woman killed late Tuesday in a crash on I-4 in Seminole County has been identified as Marissa Lybarger, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Lybarger was traveling east on I-4 between FL-436 and FL-434 in Altamonte Springs, FL., when the fatal crash occurred, the FHP said in a report.

Troopers said Lybarger was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu and failed to slow as she approached a dump truck. The front of her car hit the rear of the truck, troopers said. It’s not known if Lybarger was wearing a seat belt or if alcohol played a role in the crash, the FHP said. Continue reading

David Stockdale ID’d As Victim In Myrtle Beach Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash

David Stockdale has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in the Myrtle Beach area.

Stockdale, 49, was operating a 2012 Ford pickup truck when it ran off the right side of a Myrtle Beach roadway and struck a ditch, according to officials.

According to information from South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Sonny Collins, the crash happened at 5:25 p.m. on Tidewater Road. Continue reading

Sacramento Driver Killed After Plunge Off Capital City Freeway Down To Arden Way

A Sacramento driver was killed in an early morning crash after a vehicle careened off of the Capital City Freeway near Arden Way.

The deceased driver was traveling towards downtown when for an unknown reason exited the freeway and struck a power pole. The vehicle continued to barrel down an embankment before coming to arrest on Arden way.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities say. Continue reading

Winthrop University Mourns Death Of Student With “Beautiful Soul” Who Died In I-85 Crash

Kuira Cruz, from Rock Hill, has been identified as the Winthrop University student who died in an I-85 crash Thursday, police and school officials confirmed.

Cruz, 20, was traveling on Interstate 85 in Davidson County, N.C., when her vehicle and a tractor-trailer collided in North Carolina, the N.C. Highway Patrol wrote in a report.

Cruz was in her second semester at Winthrop, said school officials.

“Our thoughts are with her family, fellow students and colleagues who knew her,” said Frank Ardaiolo, Winthrop vice-president for student life. Continue reading

Ashlen Kyndal Branton Identified As TX Teen Killed In Tragic SH-315 Crash

Ashlen Kyndal Branton has been identified as the driver killed Monday afternoon in Rusk County in a two-vehicle SH-315 crash.

Branton, 19, of Nacogdoches, was killed when her vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler.

The wreck occurred just before 2:30 p.m. on SH-315, six miles northeast of the city of Mt. Enterprise.

A preliminary crash investigation by DPS shows that the driver of a 1992 Peterbilt truck towing multiple trailers hauling an oversize load, was traveling northeast on SH-315 while Branton, driving a 2016 Kia SUV, was traveling on the same roadway in the opposite direction.

Branton drifted across the center stripe and struck the oversized load with the left side of the Kia. After impact, the Kia went off the roadway to the right where it came to rest in the west side ditch of SH-315 facing southwest. Continue reading

The three teenagers killed in a two-vehicle PCH crash in Huntington Beach have been identified as Brooke Hawley, Dylan Mack and A.J. Rossi.

The driver of the second vehicle, who survived the crash, was identified as 27-year-old Bani Duarte of San Clemente. She was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DUI.

Duarte could later been seen smirking in her DUI mugshot.

The victims had traveled to Orange County for spring break and were traveling in a Toyota on Pacific Coast Highway when the fatal crash occurred. Continue reading

Family Pictures Beloved SC Teen Who Died Following Tragic Summerville Crash Monday

Nalej Yearns has been named as the teen killed Monday night in an accident in Charleston County, South Carolina. He was 17.

Yearns, of Summerville, died at Trident Medical Center from injuries he sustained in the accident, according to the Charleston County deputy coroner.

Yearns and a passenger were in a vehicle traveling north on Lincolnville Road at 5:45 p.m. Monday when their vehicle swerved off the left side of the road, struck several trees, and overturned, according to Lance Cpl Judd Jones. Continue reading

Jerrylee Trent has been named as the Stuart, Va., man killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Patrick County. He was 23.

Police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred on Claudeville Highway just north of Route 645 at around 5:15 p.m.

Trent, (born, Jerry Lee Trent III,) was traveling in a Ford Mustang south on Route 2013 when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.  Continue reading

“Bla Bla Bla I Love God” Says ATL Mother As She Crashes Car Into Concrete Pole To Show Kids “God Is Real”

Bakari Warren has been named as the Atlanta-area mother behind bars after cops say she deliberately crashed her vehicle to prove to her children, ages 5 and 7, that God is real.

When officers questioned the woman’s children about the accident, one told them, “she turned, her eyes were closed and she was saying ‘bla bla bla I love God.”

The crash was caught on camera Wednesday morning as the SUV went northbound across the southbound lanes of Peachtree Industrial, and head-in into a concrete pole.

Norcross police said Warren did tell the children to buckle up their seatbelts just before she went across the road. Continue reading

IA Man Kory Doeppke Charged 2 Counts Homicide In Edgewood Crash That Killed 2 Teens

The Iowa Department of Public Safety says Kory Doeppke has been charged with two counts of Homicide by Vehicle in a deadly crash that killed two teenagers.

Doeppke, 20, from Elkader, Iowa, failed to stop at a stop sign, and hit a truck, on February 16, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Littleport Road and East Mission Road.

Investigators say Doeppke failed to stop at a stop sign, and hit a truck killing both passengers of the other vehicle.  Continue reading
