SHELBY COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Memphis rapper, BlocBoy JB, has been arrested and booked into the Shelby County jail after being detained by deputies in Shelby County Friday afternoon, along with several others, at a home near Shelby Drive & Forest Hill Irene Road, in Memphis, TN.

The 22-year-old rapper, AKA James Baker, is facing several criminal charges including, Convicted Felon in Possession of a handgun, speeding, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana.

Officials said 20 people were detained at the home.

Baker is scheduled to perform at the FedEx Stage at 7:20 p.m. tonight, reports Fox13Memphis.

Fox13Memphis identified the man arrested as “BlockBoy,” and we have corrected that misspelling here.

SCSO deputies said it was part of a multi-agency investigation in an ongoing effort on the war on rap.
