LEXINGTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — Timothy Coffey has been identified as the suspect accused of shooting his own brother dead in Lexington , KY, Thursday.

Lexington police say, Coffey, 26, has now been charged with murder in the shooting death of his brother, 28-year-old, Jaymes Coffey, Thursday morning.

Police say Timothy Coffey shot and killed his older brother after 9 a.m. following an argument at a residence in the 900 block of Krissy Way, in Lexington, KY.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 28-year-old Jaymes Coffey. Detectives arrested Timothy Coffey Thursday afternoon after finding him on Pierson Drive.source

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of at least one gunshot wound.

No other information was immediately provided by officials.
