First of all, I believe it’s the most appropriate place to throw away trash is in the dumpster. Better to throw away and find letters in a dumpster then a baby. Just saying. Anyways, Nashville native, Kylee Francescan was disposing newspaper in a recycling dumpster and discovered hundreds of loads of unopened letters “covered with pictures, hearts, and sparkles” addressed to Taylor Swift.

So what did Francescan do? She was so devestated that Taylor’s fans weren’t getting their letters to Taylor that she called up a news station so she can get them to investigate. “There were like hundreds of letters in there to Taylor Swift and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ I didn’t know if they were stolen [or] discarded, so I threw them in a box. “And I’m like, ‘Somebody needs to let Taylor know,’ It did bother me [because] I know how much her fans mean to her,” said Francescan. Yea… sure… okay.

Swift’s Spokeswoman Paula Erickson explained that Swift’s fan mail is delivered to her management office where it is opened, read, and recycled. She says, “The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center.” Keyword here is “accidently”.
