Robert and Sharon Gordon, the father and stepmother of former Indycar and NASCAR driver, Robby Gordon, were found dead in their home in Orange, Calif., after what detectives believe was a murder-suicide.
Coroners have identified the victims as Robert Gordon, 68, and his wife Sharon, 57.
Police, who were called to the house in Orange at 5pm yesterday, have recovered a weapon, and say the investigation is continuing. Continue reading

A 4.3-magnitude earthquake hit 22 miles east, north east of Lucerne Valley on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake struck at 10:13 p.m. and had a depth of 1.5 miles. The temblor was first reported as a magnitude-4.4 but was revised soon after.
Eyewitness News viewers in Victorville, Apple Valley, Joshua Tree, Big Bear and Yucaipa reported feeling the quake. Continue reading
State health officials say an outbreak of Salmonella cases may be associated with eating at Chipotle restaurants in Minnesota.
A total of 45 cases of Salmonella have been reported since Sept. 2. Many simply endure the illness and do not seek health care or get tested. Officials say they believe the number affected could be much higher.
Of the 34 people who have been interviewed to date, 32 ate or likely ate at 17 different Chipotle restaurant locations in Minnesota. Continue reading
Izzy Valenzuela, owner of Izzy Performance, has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder for his participation in a fatal street racing accident.
Valenzuela recently appeared on the Discovery channel show “Street Outlaws.”
According to the L.A. County D.A.’s Office, Valenzuela was racing another man, Michael Gevorgyan, on February 25 when Gevorgyan lost control of his car and crashed into a crowd. Two people in the crowd died and a third was injured. Los Angeles has strict street racing laws, which is why Valenzuela is being charged even though his car didn’t kill anyone. He’s currently in jail, and prosecutors want him held on $2 million bail. h/t tmz
If convicted, Valenzuela faces 33 years to life in prison.
Caltrans, the folks in charge of Los Angeles’ highways and byways, misspelled the sign for the Olympic Boulevard off-ramp..
