Here’s highlights from Pharrell Williams‘ deposition video taken as testimony for an infringement lawsuit leveled by the family of the late Marvin Gaye over their assertion the mega-producer and singer, Robin Thicke, knowingly violated copyright laws.
In March, a federal jury found Williams and Thicke liable for infringement to the tune of $5 million. The case is currently headed toward an appeal.
THR has obtained video of the Williams and Thicke depositions. Continue reading
According to newly released documents, rapper T.I. and his wife, Tiny, owe a staggering $4.5 million in unpaid taxes.
The unpaid taxes occurred between 2012-2013, six years after the rapper bought a mansion in 2006 for $4.26 million dollars.
Yikes! Where did all of that Blurred Lines money go?! Not to mention T.I. is one of the top ten highest paid rappers of 2015 in addition to being worth $215 million. Continue reading
Q Scores, a company which polls Americans to gather their opinions about brands and celebrities, reports that Ariana Grande is second to only Bill Cosby as most hated celebrity. After the singer’s donut licking antics and anti-American comments, Grande saw her negative Q Score go up a whopping 26 points. In this case, more is not better.
When you consider the most recent scores compared with scores from that same celebrity’s score from 2013 we find that Grande has suffered “the biggest celebrity fall from grace,” in a top-10 list of the celebs whose public image had taken a hit.
Miley Cyrus is there, sitting pretty at No. 8. Her negative Q rating has seen a four-point increase. Continue reading
A judge on Tuesday slashed more than $2 million off a judgement awarded by a jury to the Marvin Gaye family back in March.
U.S. District Judge John A. Kronstadt ruled that Gaye’s family will be awarded a 50/50 share of future royalties for recordings and performances of Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams‘ smash hit “Blurred Lines.”
A jury decided in favor of Marvin Gaye‘s family ordering Robin Thicke and Pharrell to pay $7.3 million for copyright infringement over “Blurred Lines.”
The Gaye family sought over $25 million, however, the victory is still salient and significant.
In the trial, Marvin Gaye’s family argued that 2013’s “Blurred Lines” copied their father’s 1977 song “Got to Give Up,” and sued Thicke, Williams and Clifford Harris Jr., a.k.a. T.I. The three had sought a jury determination that the song was not an infringement, and the Gaye family filed a countersuit. Continue reading
Robin Thicke is all set to perform to a nearly unsold Illinois State Fair on Sunday August 17.
The venue is so desperate, they have lowered ticket prices to rock bottom prices..
This is just one of the setbacks for the Blurred Lines singer. After embarrassing himself by publically trying to get his wife back, his newly album entitled, Paula, sold just 530 copies in the UK while reaching a mere number 200 in the charts after a full week of release.
Socialite, Cara Delevingne, difiantly (or ignorantly,) wore a rabbit fur coat to Leonardo DiCaprio‘s wildlife fundraiser in St. Tropez.
The model, who is more famous for lesbian romps and open drug use, has got to get a clue, because she is so clueless.
Cara Delevingne shocked guests at Leo DiCaprio’s environmental fundraiser this past week when she took the stage in a fur coat. Continue reading
Robin Thicke may have been trying to get his wife back with his latest break-up album, Paula, but the way the record is selling, he may soon be crying for his mommy..
The US singer’s new record, Paula, a desperate plea to his estranged wife Paula Patton, has squarely bombed in the UK, reaching only number 200 in the charts after a full week of release.
Fans remain unimpressed, with reports suggesting that just 530 copies of the album have been sold in the UK to date.
Someone finally got to Robin Thicke convincing him that his public image was going down the tubes a little more everytime he publicly professed his love for his estranged wife Paula Patton. Now, in swinging dick fashion, the man, the myth, the Thicke is back and has emerged, wait for it, without his wedding ring.. Boom.
Us Magazine posted the above picture with this take on the Thicke events,
Through Thicke and thin? Maybe not! Robin Thicke stepped out without his wedding band on Friday, Mar. 7 in NYC, even after professing his eternal love (multiple times!) for estranged wife Paula Patton. Continue reading
