BELL COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Marla Harris, of Killeen, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal motorcycle crash in Bell County.
Harris, 36, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Killeen Saturday night.
According to reports, Harris was operating a Harley Davidson in the 1600 block of South Fort Hood Street in Fort Hood, when the bike came into contact with a Nissan Versa that had failed to yield the right-of-way at an intersection stop sign around 10 p.m. Saturday.
Harris was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The incident is under investigation.

A Chicago police officer was shot and the injured officer and other cops were pinned down in a building.
Authorities said someone was shooting at officers when they tried to evacuate the building about 6 p.m.

A Killeen neighborhood is being evacuated due to reports of a suspicious device at 8th and Hoover.
Scanner traffic just revealed that a specialist in “bomb suit” is going in to try and disable the device. Scanner radio also said cops have located and are dealing with a second suspicious package @ Ryans Creek Court. Delevoping.

OFFICIAL UPDATE: Fort Hood’s Directorate of Emergency Services has an initial report that a shooter is dead but this is unconfirmed. The injured personnel are being transported to Carl R. Darnall Medical Center and other local hospitals. Numerous law enforcement agencies are in support and on the scene. The number of injured are not confirmed at this time. Bell County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Donnie Adams says the sheriff’s office dispatched deputies and troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety to the nearby Texas Army base.
Fort Hood ordered everyone at the base to “shelter in place.”
