NC Man Jimmy Zientek ID’d As Victim In Sunday Fatal Beaufort Single-Vehicle Submersion Crash

CARTERET COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — James Zientek, of Beaufort, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Carteret County crash Sunday afternoon.

“Jimmy” Zientek, 54, was killed in a single-vehicle submersion crash in Carteret County on Sunday afternoon.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Zientek was operating a 1998 Volkswagen on Highway 101 in Beaufort, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over into a canal.

Zientek, who was trapped underwater for approximately 20 minutes, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the crash report.

Troopers believe speed nor impairment were factors in the crash.

6 Shot Overnight At Rosedale MD Kenwood Shopping Center 1 Dead

ROSEDALE, MD. (THECOUNT) — Six people were shot, one fatally, at a shopping center in Rosedale, Maryland overnight.

According to Baltimore County police, the shooting occurred around midnight at the Kenwood Shopping Center on Hazelwood Avenue, in Rosedale.

According to officials, one person was found dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

Five other victims are said to have suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The deadly incident remains under investigation.

SUV Smashes Into Baltimore Mall Kids Clothing Store In ‘Burglary’ Say Police

BALTIMORE, MD. (THECOUNT) — You know times are tough when crooks start targeting kids clothing stores.

Baltimore Police are investigating a burglary after an SUV smashed into a Liberty Heights Mondawmin Mall storefront overnight.

According to officials, a white SUV crashed into the storefront of America’s Kids clothing store just before 3 a.m. and removed an unknown number of items from the store before fleeing the scene in the same SUV, reports FoxBaltimore on Monday.

The Mondawmin Mall is located at, 2401 Liberty Heights Ave, in Baltimore, MD.

Police are are in the process of assessing damages.

They are seeking a small white SUV with front end damage.

MD Man John H. Schell ID’d As Victim In Sunday Night Dundalk Motorcycle Crash

DUNDALK, MD. (THECOUNT) — John H. Schell, of Sparrows Point, Maryland, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Baltimore County Sunday night, according to officials.

Schell, 61, died following a motorcycle crash on the inner loop of I-695 in Dundalk on Sunday night.

According to reports, Schell was operating a motorcycle on I-695 near North Point and Merritt Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, when for unknown reasons, his bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway.

The motorcycle then traveled up an embankment and collided with a pole, reports CBSLocal.

Schell was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Maryland State Police said.

Baltimore PD Releases ID’s Of 9 Homicide Victims Over Last 6 Days

BALTIMORE, MD. (THECOUNT) — Baltimore, Maryland officials released the identifies of nine recent homicide victims on Wednesday.

All nine victims were killed during a six-day stretch between June 10 and June 15 in the Baltimore area.

On July 15, 22-year-old Jaquan Johnson was killed when he was in the 2900 block of Pulaski Highway.

On July 14, 26-year-old Brandon Cobb was killed while he was in the 3800 block of Egerton Road.

On Jul 13, 17-year-old Donte Webb was killed while he was in the 600 block of E. 38th Street.

After a brief pause with no killings on July 12, four people were killed on July 11, reports WMAR.

Travis Chance, 16, was killed while he was in the 5600 block of The Alameda.

Anita Cheek, 52, was found dead in a vacant house that had been on fire in the 600 block of E. Biddle Street. Police charged 34-year-old David Okoroji in her death the next day.

Frank McNeil, 63, was stabbed to death when he was in the 300 block of E. Belvedere Avenue.

Manuel Luis Jr., 19, was killed while he was in the 4700 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. Luis was in a car leaving the Morgan State University campus when he was killed.

Two people were killed on July 10.

Wayne Phillips, 24, was killed while he was in the 1200 block of N. Milton Avenue.

Juwan Vellines, 21, was killed while he was in the 5900 block of Radecke Avenue.

As of July 17, Baltimore has experienced 175 murders in 2019. More than half of Baltimore’s 309 homicide victims in 2018 were shot in the head, according to Baltimore PD.

Fmr U Of Maryland Football Player David Mackall Jr ID’d As Victim In Wednesday Fatal Baltimore Shooting

BALTIMORE, MD. (THECOUNT) — David Mackall Jr. has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting in Walbrook neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland Wednesday afternoon, according to officials.

Mackall, 28, was identified as the former Maryland football player found suffering from fatal gunshot injuries following a shooting in the city’s western district.

Police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of the 1700 block of Braddish Avenue after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mackall was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and torso.

He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Police did not name a suspect or anyone arrested in his death, reports BaltimoreSun.

The Edmondson graduate played football at the University of Maryland from 2010-11 before finishing his career at the University of Delaware from 2012-13.

Baltimore ‘Large Scale’ Shooting Occurring Along Several Blocks At Least 32 Shots Fired

BALTIMORE, MD. (THECOUNT) — Baltimore City Police have responded to a triple shooting in West Baltimore. Reports say police shotspotter units detected as many as 32 shots fired.

There are victims reported in the 2800 block of Parkwood Ave, 2800 block of Woodbrook Ave and the 2300 block of Ruskin Ave.

Moments before police got a call for a shooting, a shotspotter alert went out for 31 shots being fired in the area, reports FoxBaltimore.

Homicide detectives have been called due to the severity of at least one victim’s injuries.

Police are asking for additional units from other districts to help cover the scene.

MD Mother Renika Howard ID’d As Victim Found Shot Dead In Baltimore Cherry Hill Thursday

BALTIMORE, MD. (THECOUNT) — Renika Howard has been identified as the young mother killed while celebrating her son’s 7th birthday Thursday in Baltimore.

Howard, 25, was discovered by authorities around 5:20 p.m. suffering from at least one gunshot wound on Fisk Road, in the Cherry Hill area Thursday night.

Baltimore City Police say responded to a call of shots fired Thursday evening in the 2700 block of Fisk Road.

Upon arrival, officers found Howard suffering from gunshot injuries to her upper body.

She was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Amazon Baltimore Building Collapse Victims Identified As Andrew Lindsay Israel Argote

BALTIMORE, MD. (THECOUNT) — Andrew Lindsay and Israel Argote have been identified as the victims in an Amazon warehouse building collapse Friday night in Baltimore, MD, according to the Baltimore City Fire Department.

Lindsay, 54, and Argote, whose age was not provided, were named as the third party contract workers killed as a result of a partial building collapse at the Amazon Fulfillment Center BWI2, located at, 2010 Broening Hwy, in Baltimore, MD.

The two were killed after a tornado touched down in Baltimore on Friday night causing the Amazon center to partially collapse. The National Weather Service confirmed Saturday afternoon that a E-F1 tornado touched down in Dundalk and Baltimore City. Continue reading

Facebook CLOSED Korryn Gaines Account DURING STANDOFF

Facebook shut down the account of Korryn Gaines, the young mother who was fatally shot by Baltimore County Police, at the request of law enforcement at some point during the hours-long standoff.

Gaines, 23, was posting videos to her Facebook page in an effort to document her ordeal, when the social media company took down her profile. Facebook also deactivated her Instagram account, which is owned by Facebook.
