NORTHPORT, AL. (THECOUNT) — Northport woman, Michelle Renee Scroggins, has been identified as the suspect charged with murder following an argument that left her brother, Michael Jerome Archibald, dead from a single gunshot wound.
Scroggins, 30, is accused of fatally shooting her own brother, 26-year-old Archibald, while at a West Circle apartment early Friday.

Witnesses told police Scroggins retrieved a weapon from her vehicle during an argument and opened fire on Archibald and his wife, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit commander Capt. Jack Kennedy.
Archibald was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries, reports TuscaloosaNews.
Scroggins was also charged with the attempted murder of her sister-in-law, Angela Archibald, who was not officially identified by name.
Scroggins is being housed at the Tuscaloosa County Jail Friday morning on a $210,000 bond.
