VERNON TWP., OH. (THECOUNT) — Heather Hadley, 48, of Goshen, has been identified as the woman killed Saturday in a head-on crash involving a combine on State Route 350 in Vernon Township, Clinton County, Ohio. The agricultural machine was operated by Lester Kilburn, 40, of Morrow, who was not injured.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:13 p.m. Oct. 10 near mile marker 1 on State Route 350, about a mile from the highway’s intersection with U.S. 22 near Clarksville.

Hadley was driving a 2017 Ford Flex southeast on State Route 350 when the SUV crossed the center line and collided head-on with a northwestbound 2012 John Deere S680 combine, investigators said. Hadley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kilburn sustained no injuries in the collision.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating. Troopers have not confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Authorities were assisted at the scene by Wilmington Joint Fire and EMS, Clarksville EMS, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, the Clinton County Coroner’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation and Case Towing and Recovery.
Vernon Township is in Clinton County in southwestern Ohio, in the region between Wilmington and the greater Cincinnati-Dayton area. State Route 350 runs through the area near Clarksville.
