LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — Brandi Glanville, the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, is mourning the death of her father, Guy Glanville, sharing the heartbreaking news Saturday in a brief post on X.
“My dad died, I’m gutted I hate this life right now,” Brandi wrote, expressing her grief over the loss. She did not disclose the cause of her father’s death.

The announcement came months after Brandi asked fans to pray for Guy while he was hospitalized in a cardiac unit. In May, she revealed that he had been in the hospital for 13 days following an unspecified medical issue.
The father and daughter had a complicated relationship that Brandi discussed publicly. They appeared together on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition” in 2018, but she later said they stopped speaking after the show aired, despite having left filming on good terms.

Their relationship eventually improved, and Guy later publicly defended his daughter amid her feud with fellow reality television personality Denise Richards.
In a video shared on Instagram, Guy acknowledged that Brandi could be difficult at times, saying she might be “sometimes an asshole,” but insisted she was not a liar.
Brandi’s fellow reality television personalities have begun offering condolences. Sonja Morgan, a “Real Housewives of New York City” alum, responded to Brandi’s announcement with a message of support.
“So sorry you are going through this Brandi. Sending love and strength,” Morgan wrote.
