Kelker-Kelly began his television acting career in 1987 when he joined the cast of “Another World,” portraying Sam Fowler.

In 1992, Kelker-Kelly took over the role of Bo Brady on “Days of Our Lives” from Peter Reckell. He portrayed the popular character opposite Kristian Alfonso, who played Hope Brady, and Lisa Rinna, who played Billie Reed.

Kelker-Kelly remained with the series until 1995, when Reckell returned to the role of Bo Brady.

His run on “Days of Our Lives” made Kelker-Kelly a familiar face to daytime television viewers during one of the show’s most prominent eras.

Kelker-Kelly later joined the cast of “General Hospital,” where he portrayed Stavros Cassadine. He also pursued a career outside acting as a professional pilot.

Kelker-Kelly’s death comes months after Rinna discussed their time working together in her memoir, including allegations concerning their relationship during his “Days of Our Lives” tenure.

Rinna alleged that Kelker-Kelly was verbally abusive and manipulative and that he played mind games with her while they worked together. She also claimed that his sudden departure from the soap prompted NBC to provide security for her and Alfonso for several weeks.

Kelker-Kelly did not publicly respond to Rinna’s allegations.

Kelker-Kelly’s portrayal of Bo Brady followed Reckell’s original run in the role, with the character becoming one of the central figures in the show’s long-running storylines involving Hope Brady.

“Days of Our Lives,” which premiered in 1965, has remained one of America’s longest-running daytime television dramas and has produced generations of recognizable characters and performers.

Kelker-Kelly’s death was confirmed by the Missouri medical examiner, but authorities had not released a cause of death as of the initial report.

Kelker-Kelly was 62.

St. Louis is located along the Mississippi River in eastern Missouri and is the state’s second-largest city. The Missouri medical examiner’s confirmation of Kelker-Kelly’s death was reported without additional details regarding the circumstances.
