DEAN, TX. (THECOUNT) — Jeremiah King, 49, of Byers, Texas, has been identified as the man killed Sunday night in a motorcycle crash on State Highway 79 in Clay County, near the small city of Dean, about 10 miles west of Wichita Falls.
The fatal crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. Sunday on State Highway 79, approximately 0.17 miles west of Farm to Market Road 2393, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

King, aka “Frog,” was operating a 2004 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic northwest on the highway when he lost control of the motorcycle, according to investigators. The motorcycle fell onto its side and slid along the roadway.
King was transported to United Regional Health Care System in Wichita Falls with serious injuries sustained in the crash. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional information concerning the cause of the loss of control was immediately released.
State Highway 79 runs through the rural communities of Clay County, with the crash occurring near Dean in the Wichita Falls area of North Texas. Dean is located roughly 10 miles west of Wichita Falls and near the Oklahoma border.
