RAYMOND, WA. (THECOUNT) — John W. Huglen, 33, and April L. Dundom, 35, both of Raymond, Washington, were killed Sunday evening when the 2022 Indian Chief motorcycle they were riding crashed along State Route 105 near Grayland in Pacific County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The fatal collision occurred at approximately 5:55 p.m. September 20. Huglen and Dundom were traveling southbound on the motorcycle when it left the roadway, lost control and struck a southbound rock embankment.

According to the preliminary crash information, the motorcycle then crossed all lanes of State Route 105 before coming to rest on the northbound shoulder.
Huglen and Dundom were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office completed next-of-kin notifications.
Both victims were wearing Department of Transportation-compliant helmets at the time of the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol report.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Authorities have listed the cause as pending, and officials have not released additional information regarding whether speed, roadway conditions or another factor contributed to the motorcycle leaving the roadway.
The crash occurred on State Route 105, a major coastal highway serving communities in southwestern Washington. The reported location near milepost 14 is in Pacific County, in the broader Raymond and Tokeland area.
The deaths of Huglen and Dundom were also reflected in a public Facebook post from Bary Dundom, who identified April as his daughter and wrote that he had been told she would not be coming home after a terrible accident. The post provides family-source confirmation of the reported loss of April Dundom but does not establish additional details about the crash.
The Washington State Patrol has not released a final determination regarding the circumstances of the collision. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information may be released as authorities review the crash.
Raymond is located in Pacific County along the Willapa River, approximately 30 miles northeast of the Pacific Ocean coastline. State Route 105 extends through the coastal region and connects Raymond with other communities in southwestern Washington. The precise crash location was reported as near milepost 14.
