The crash occurred on County Road 14. The available information places the crash near Rainbow City, although that geographic reference could not be independently reconciled with Lauderdale County and is therefore not used as an established location in this report.

Fowlkes was pronounced dead following the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing. No additional details concerning the circumstances of the crash were immediately available.

Some reports have described the crash as occurring near Rainbow City. However, Rainbow City is located in Etowah County, while Lauderdale County is in northwestern Alabama, creating a significant geographic discrepancy in the published location information. The official crash location could not be independently confirmed from a publicly available law-enforcement report at the time of publication.

Lauderdale County is located in northwestern Alabama along the Tennessee state line, with Florence serving as the county seat.
