IL Teen Kamarion Coleman ID’d As Victim In Saturday Crest Hill Fatal Shooting - TheCount.com

CREST HILL, IL. (THECOUNT)Kamarion L. Coleman, 18, of Woodridge, was identified as the person killed in a shooting Saturday night in Crest Hill, Illinois, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office. Three other teens were suffered gunshot injuries, one remains in critical condition.

Coleman was pronounced dead at approximately 4 a.m. Sunday after the teens were shot in the 1900 block of Willow Court, police said.

Crest Hill police officers responded to the area at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday following a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found four shooting victims.

Another 18-year-old, identified as being from Joliet, was airlifted to a Chicago-area hospital in critical condition. A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old also suffered injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

The Will County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy was conducted Sunday. A final cause and manner of death remain pending additional police and toxicology reports.

Crest Hill police and the Will/Grundy Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the shooting. No suspect information or motive was immediately released.

Crest Hill is located in Will County in northeastern Illinois, approximately 35 miles southwest of downtown Chicago and near the communities of Joliet, Lockport and Romeoville.
