MIAMI, FL. (THECOUNT) — Perez Hilton’s sister, Barbara Lavandeira, who said she found her brother unclothed and covered in blood inside his Florida home, immediately focused on removing his three children. She gathered them and got them into her vehicle as the disturbing situation continued unfolding around them.
According to the police report, Hilton then came outside unclothed and covered in blood while the children were already inside the vehicle. Lavandeira told investigators he approached the vehicle and began banging on the driver’s-side window.

She said she drove away after seeing police arrive.
The account adds a particularly alarming dimension to the incident because Hilton’s children were present at the home during the mental health crisis. The children were removed from the immediate situation before authorities continued responding to Hilton.
Lavandeira previously provided a more extensive firsthand account of the incident to Page Six, describing Aug. 4 as one of the darkest days her family had experienced. She said she had been visiting from California when she became concerned after Hilton stopped responding to her attempts to check on him.
She said she ultimately discovered Hilton in a severely injured condition and then concentrated on getting his children to safety before contacting 911.
Hilton’s family has said he has been dealing with significant health problems this year. According to the police report, Lavandeira told investigators that her brother had previously received treatment and had been experiencing depression, anxiety and overwhelming thoughts following his hospitalization for sepsis earlier this year.
Hilton spent three weeks in the hospital in March after suffering complications that he said began with an ulcer and progressed to a perforation and sepsis. He later required emergency surgery after developing a major blood clot.
The latest crisis resulted in Hilton being placed under Florida’s Baker Act, which permits authorities to temporarily hold a person for mental health evaluation when there is reason to believe the individual may be a danger to themselves or others.
His family subsequently said Hilton suffered injuries that required surgery and that he remained under medical care while recovering.
The incident also prompted TikTok to take action. A spokesperson for the social-media platform said that Hilton’s account was banned following the livestream.
Hilton has not publicly addressed the specific details contained in the police report while he remains in treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the Aug. 4 incident remain a deeply personal matter for Hilton and his family, while authorities’ report provides additional information about the emergency response and the efforts made to remove his children from the home.
