MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Chassidy Saunders has been identified as the 6-year-old girl who was fatally shot while attending a children’s birthday party Saturday night in Miami-Dade County.
AKA, “TikTok princess,” Saunders was shot along with two other people while attending a birthday party in Miami Saturday night.
According to reports, Saunders was at another child’s birthday party near Northwest Sixth Place and 54th Street in Miami, when someone opened fire striking the child and two others around 7 p.m. Saturday.
Saunders and one of the two adult victims were transported to an area hospital.
Saunders was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
The condition of the other victims was not provided.

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Alvaro Garcia, of Charlotte, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night vehicle crash in Mecklenburg County.
Garcia, 43, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Charlotte Saturday night.
According to reports, Garcia was operating a Nissan pickup truck on Heathway Drive near North Tryon Street in Charlotte, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 7 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

TITUSVILLE, FL. (THECOUNT) — Sean Michael Tunnel has been identified as the man found floating in a Titusville waterway.
Tunnel, 46, was discovered dead near the A. Max Brewer Bridge, in Titusville, FL, in what authorities believe was an accidental drowning.
A preliminary investigation revealed Tunnel’s death was most likely an accidental drowning, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
Toxicology tests are being conducted to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in Tunnel’s death, reports FloridaToday.
Tunnel resided on a Titusville sailboat that had been moored in the area. Public record show he also maintained a Hollywood, Florida address.

In the first Zika case in Texas linked to trip within U.S., a Texas resident who recently traveled to Miami has tested positive for Zika.
The El Paso County recently returned from an area of Miami where local transmission by U.S. mosquitoes has occurred. It is also the first Zika case for the county, which has found no other evidence of the virus or local transmission.

The fourth known case of the Zika virus has been identified in Yellowstone County. The infection was identified by the RiverStone Health and the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.
The reported case in Montana, the first of its kind, was found in a man who had travelled to an affected area. In February, Missoula County reported the first travel related case of Zika in Montana.
As of July 27, 2016 there have been 1,658 confirmed cases of Zika in the United States. Nearly all cases were travel related. Diagnosis of Zika is based on a person’s recent travel history, symptoms, and results from a blood or urine test. h/t billingsgazette
Zika is a disease caused by a virus that is spread primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species of mosquito that is not found in Montana. Superstar Iraqi-British architect, Zaha Hadid, has died. She was 65.
Reps said, Hadid died early Thursday at a hospital in Miami after suffering a sudden heart attack while being treated for bronchitis. Hadid was hospitalized earlier in the week to be treated for the illness.
The statement said Hadid, “was widely regarded to be the greatest female architect in the world today.” She was born in Baghdad in 1950 and studied at the American University of Beirut before continuing her studies at the Architectural Association in London. “By 1979 she had established her own practice in London – Zaha Hadid Architects – garnering a reputation across the world for her ground-breaking theoretical works including,” the statement said. “Working with office partner Patrik Schumacher, her interest was in the interface between architecture, landscape, and geology; which her practice integrates with the use of innovative technologies often resulting in unexpected and dynamic architectural forms.” h/t theheavy

An apparent tornado has touched down in Broward County, Florida leaving behind a trail of damaged cars and buildings.
News helicopters tracked the damage, which showed vehicles, trees and buildings with heavy damage.
A locked safe has been located by a crew demolishing the Miami Beach mansion once owned by Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. The safe has not been opened and the contents remains unknown.
Crews began deconstructing the posh, but dilapidated waterfront property, now owned by Chicken Kitchen founder Christian de Berdouare. On Monday, excavators found the metal safe as they demolished the dwelling.
