LA Woman Charlitria Thomas Wanted For Fleeing With 15-Year-Old Who Shot Her In Face

BATON ROUGE, LA. (THECOUNT) — Charlitria Thomas, 31, is wanted by Baton Rouge police after allegedly helping her 15-year-old boyfriend evade authorities following a domestic shooting in which the teen allegedly shot her in the face, according to an arrest warrant filed Wednesday.

Baton Rouge is Louisiana’s capital city and is located along the Mississippi River in southeastern Louisiana. The unusual case stems from a December 2025 domestic dispute that investigators say escalated into an attempted murder investigation involving firearms and an interstate flight.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Thomas and the teen became involved in an argument during which the juvenile allegedly produced two firearms and shot her in the jaw.

Thomas suffered severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was intubated while receiving treatment.

After she was medically stabilized, detectives interviewed Thomas regarding the whereabouts of the teenage suspect. Police said she told investigators that she had neither seen nor heard from him following the shooting.

Investigators later learned that witnesses had allegedly observed Thomas driving the teen around Baton Rouge in a Hyundai Elantra after her release from the hospital.

Authorities allege Thomas intentionally concealed the juvenile’s location from law enforcement while assisting him in avoiding arrest.

On Dec. 31, a Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper conducted a traffic stop involving the Hyundai Elantra and discovered both Thomas and the teenager inside the vehicle.

The juvenile was subsequently arrested on Louisiana charges of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, armed robbery and two counts of juvenile in possession of a firearm. Additional charges were reportedly filed in Mississippi.

Baton Rouge police have now obtained an arrest warrant charging Thomas with accessory after the fact for allegedly assisting the teen after the shooting and transporting him across state lines.
