OK Man Lynn Malatt ID’d As Victim In Monday Comanche County Fatal Motorcycle Crash

COMANCHE COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Lynn Malatt, 64, has been identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash Monday night in Comanche County, Oklahoma.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Interstate 44 near mile marker 40.5 in Comanche County on Monday evening.

Investigators said the motorcycle was traveling northbound on I-44 when it left the roadway.

Malatt, of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, was operating the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Authorities said Malatt, who had ties to Maryland, died as a result of injuries sustained in the wreck.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed that next of kin had been notified.

The crash occurred in Comanche County, located in southwestern Oklahoma near the Texas border. The county is home to the city of Lawton and the Fort Sill military installation, one of the U.S. Army’s major training centers.

Interstate 44 serves as a primary transportation corridor through the region, linking communities across southwestern Oklahoma and providing access to Lawton, Fort Sill, and surrounding areas. The highway carries a combination of local, military, and interstate traffic.

Fort Sill, where Malatt resided, is located within Comanche County and has long served as a significant military installation with historical and strategic importance to the United States Army.
