PARKE COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — James Stratis, a 35-year-old resident of Rockville, tragically lost his life after being crushed by a large square bale of hay on Thursday shortly after noon in rural Rockville.
The Parke County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies, along with the Parke County Coroner’s Office, Bellmore Fire Department, Adams Township Rescue, and Parke County EMS, responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found Stratis deceased under the massive hay bale.
An investigation conducted at the scene concluded that no foul play was suspected in the incident.
