CARROLL COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — A tragic two-vehicle accident in Carroll, Iowa, resulted in the death of a man on Tuesday. According to a crash report, Ronald Eischeid, 65, lost his life in the incident.
The report indicates that “Ronny” Eischeid was driving a 2019 Chevy Silverado northbound on Noble Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with 150th Street. At that moment, a 2014 International semi was traveling east on 150th Street and collided with the driver’s side of Eischeid’s Silverado.
The collision caused the Silverado to come to a halt on Noble Avenue just north of 150th Street, while the semi ended up in the east ditch of Noble Avenue north of 150th Street. Eischeid, who was wearing his seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi’s driver was uninjured in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
