ROWAN COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Austin Ryan Davis and Aiden Daniel Humphries, both of Huntersville, North Carolina, have been identified as the victims in a Thursday night double-fatal police pursuit crash in Rowan County.
Davis, 18, and 16-year-old Humphries, were both killed following a police pursuit in Mount Ulla Thursday night.
According to reports, the teens were traveling in a Chevrolet pickup truck on NC-801 near Back Creek Church Road, when the truck exited the roadway and rolled over during a police chase around 11 p.m. Thursday.
Both teens were pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear why police were pursuing the vehicle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
