SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — BMX star rider, Pat Casey, has died while performing a jump on the ramps at the Slayground Motocross Park in Ramona, California on Tuesday.
Casey, 29, crashed his bike around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures. However, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene,” the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said in a release.
Casey was the first rider to successfully execute the decade backflip, showcasing his exceptional skills and innovation, reports fresherslive.
Casey leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Chase, with whom he has been married for a decade, and their two young children named Reid and Taytum. The BMX community and fans alike mourn the potential loss of a talented and influential rider.
