Brandon Newsome GoFundMe: Teen Killed In Saturday Mt Pleasant Motorcycle Crash

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Newsome GoFundMe: Brandon Newsome, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday fatal motorcycle crash in Charleston County.

Details are limited, however, officials with the Coroner’s Office confirmed the crash occurred near Lexington/ Ivy Hall and North Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant and involved a vehicle and a motorcycle that collided.

Newsome, 19, was the operator of the motorcycle, according to the coroner.

Newsome was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

My brother, Eric Newsome, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon. He was hit by a car on Highway 17 in front of Ivy Hall. Eric was only 19 years old, and had so much more living left to do. He had one of the kindest hearts and always brought a smile onto everyone’s faces. Our mother does not have the finances to pay for funeral services. We are working on trying to sell some of his belongings, but it is totally gut wrenching to do. All of the proceeds would go towards his funeral. We appreciate everyone’s kind words during this extremely difficult time. I thank everyone who has kept us in their thoughts. I am so grateful for those on the scene to be with my little brother in his last moments, and to all of his friends whom he considered family who have shown non stop love and support for us. Thank you all for your time reading this, I think we should all take life one day at a time and celebrate everyday. That’s what Eric would want us to be doing.
