UNION COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Steven Price, of Union, South Carolina, has been identified as the body found on railroad tracks in Union County on Tuesday.
Matt Price, 32, was found deceased on the tracks in Union Tuesday morning.
According to reports, officials responded to reports of a body on the tracks in the area of Short Street and Monarch Highway in Union, late Tuesday morning.
Price was pronounced dead at the scene.
A cause of death was not provided.
An investigation is underway.
An autopsy is scheduled to assist in the investigation. The Norfolk Southern Railway is also investigating the death.
