HOPKINS COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Michael Huggins, of Commerce, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal motorcycle crash in Hopkins County.
Huggins, 44, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash near Sulphur Springs.
According to reports, Huggins was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on TX-11 near Sulphur Springs, when the bike came into contact with a Ford Explorer operated by Elizabeth Shafer, 80 of Sulphur Springs.
Huggins was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Shafer was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
