MASON COUNTY, WV. (THECOUNT) — Missing Beverly Hills, California woman, Agnieszka Karolina Drelich Smith, has been identified as the body found in Mason County, West Virginia on February 22.
Smith, 40, who was reported missing on December 12, 2022, was identified February 28 as the body found at Leon boat landing in the New River Gorge a week earlier.
According to reports, Smith went missing while visiting family members in Fayette County.
The National Park Service had been searching the area for the woman since her disappearance, a news release said.
No information was available on how the woman ended up in the Mason County area.
A cause of death was not provided.
