Musician Steve Mackey Dead Thursday ‘Pulp’ Bass Player Was 56

MUSIC WORLD. (THECOUNT) — Steve Mackey, bassist for musical group “Pulp,” died Thursday. He was 56.

According to band members, Mackey passed away on Thursday morning.

Our beloved friend & bass player Steve Mackey passed away this morning. Our thoughts are with his family & loved ones. Safe travels, Steve. We hope to catch up with you one day. All our love xx

A cause of death was not provided.

Mackey joined Pulp in 1989 shortly before they entered the studio to begin work on their third studio album, Separations.
