MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Tara King, of Woodbridge, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal vehicle crash in Montgomery County, Maryland.
King, 18, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Bethesda Tuesday morning.
According to reports, King was operating a Chevrolet Cobalt on Interstate 495 near MD-355 in Bethesda, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway around 5 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into contact with an embankment and a tree.
King was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
A 20-year-old male passenger was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
