VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Blair D. Rich, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal motorcycle crash in Volusia County.
Rich, 28, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash in Port Orange Friday night.
According to reports, Rich was operating a BMW motorcycle on South Ridgewood Avenue near Howes Street in Port Orange, when the bike came into contact with a vehicle around 7 p.m. Friday.
Rich was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the involved vehicle suffered minor injuries.
An investigation by the Port Orange Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit is ongoing.
