SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Sebastian Hofmann, of Warren, New jersey, has been identified as the victim in a Monday night fatal vehicle crash in Somerset County.
Hofmann, 27, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Warren Township monday night.
According to reports, Hofmann was operating a Dodge pickup truck on Route 78 in Warren, when the vehicle came into contact with a Tesla passenger vehicle around 10 p.m. Monday. The Tesla then crossed centerlines and came into contact with a metal guardrail while the pickup truck exited the roadway before coming into contact with a grouping of trees and rolling over.
Hofmann, who was ejected from the pickup truck during the wreck, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
It is unclear if the Tesla driver suffered any injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
