BIBB COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Rashaad Jones, of Macon, Georgia, has been identified as the suspect killed in a vehicle crash following a police chase Wednesday morning in Bibb County.
Jones, 26, was killed in a crash at the end of a police pursuit in Macon early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Jones was involved in a chase with Bibb Sheriff’s deputies, when his vehicle crashed in the 4100 block of Log Cabin Drive around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle burst into flames.
Jones was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
