KERSHAW COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — William Shealy, of Lugoff, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday afternoon fatal vehicle crash in Kershaw County.
Shealy, 16, a junior at Lugoff-Elgin High School, was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Lugoff.
According to reports, Shealy was operating a Nissan 350Z on Ridgeway Road near Carriage Lane in Lugoff, when the vehicle came into contact with a Ford F-150 pickup truck around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Shealy was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The pickup driver was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
