VERMILION PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Jasper Morrison Foster, of Maurice, Louisiana, and Matthew Wayne Landry, of Lafayette, Louisiana, have been identified as the victims in a Thursday double-fatal vehicle crash in Vermilion Parish.
Morrison, 36, and 22-year-old Landry, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Abbeville early Thursday morning.
According to reports, Morrison was operating a pickup truck on US-167 near Lawrence Road in Abbeville, when the vehicle came into rear-end contact with another vehicle around 1:30 a.m. Thursday. Both vehicles then exited the roadway and rolled over.
Morrison and Landry were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Three unidentified people occupying the other involved vehicle were transported to area hospitals in critical condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
