DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Eric Barker, of Nashville, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday night fatal shooting in Davidson County.
Barker, 19, was found shot dead in a vehicle Wednesday night near Madison Park.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 500 block of North Dupont Avenue on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, Barker was found suffering from multiple gunshot wound while seated in a vehicle around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Barker was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene.
Witness told police they observed a dark-colored sedan fleeing the scene.
Although over 100 shell casings were found at the scene, police believe a vast majority stemmed from New Year’s Eve.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
