PLATTE COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Jill Lynette Buxton, of Kansas City, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal vehicle crash in Platte County.
Buxton, 41, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer near Platte City Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Buxton was operating a vehicle on Interstate 29 north of Platte City, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a semi-tractor around 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The truck driver, 82-year-old Nathaniel Hill, of Bolivar, Tennessee was not injured in the collision.
Buxton was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
