OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Dione Prince has been identified as the victim who died in a vehicle crash after he was shot in Oklahoma County on December 20.

Prince, 36, was shot after he allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail through an apartment window and then attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle last week in Oklahoma City.

According to reports, officials responded to a report of a fire and a shooting at the Forest Creek Apartments on Northwest 122nd Street in Oklahoma City, around 11:55 p.m. December 20.

Investigators later learned that Prince threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of the apartment, when someone inside the dwelling shot him. Police say, Prince then attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle, when the vehicle crashed.

Prince was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The case remains under investigation.
