IN Man Jacob Jochum ID’d As Victim In Sunday Night Evansville Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Jacob Andrew Jochum, of Evansville, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal vehicle crash in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.

Jochum, 20, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Perry Township early Sunday night.

According to reports, Jochum was operating a Nissan pickup truck on Upper Mount Vernon Road near North Boehne Camp Road near Evansville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and wrecked early Sunday night.

Jochum was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.

I post this message with a heavy heart. Last night I lost my son Jacob Jochum in a vehicle accident. Jacob didn’t drink or do drugs.

He went church on his own. I post this not bring attention to me or family but to ask all that read this to do the following:

Celebrate your children and tell them daily how much they mean to you.
Live to help them achieve their goals and dreams.
Be a rock and foundation for them when they struggle.
Last, love them unconditionally.

I am selfish that I want more time with my child and seeing him everyday. I take comfort in knowing the lord gained a very strong angel. I wish this tragedy on no one, and I hope this creates a moment of clarity for your family in a world that is divisive and troubled. God Bless!
