JASPER COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Emmanuel Lovell, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday vehicle crash in Jasper County.

Lovell, 20, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Sarcoxie late Tuesday afternoon. Eden Sims, his passenger, suffered injuries in the collision.

According to reports, Lovell was operating a Fiat on Highway 37 near CR-40 in Sarcoxie, when for unknown reasons, the Fiat crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 4 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Ford F-250 pickup truck.

Lovell was pronounced dead at the scene.

19-year-old Sims was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries.

The condition of the pickup driver was not provided.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
