KANE COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Harvy Barrios, of Elgin, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday morning fatal vehicle collision in Kane County.
Barrios, 22, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Plato Township early Saturday morning.

According to reports, Barrios was operating a Ford Fusion on Plank Road near Marshall Road in Plato Township, when the vehicle came into head-on contact with a vehicle operated by 31-year-old Zabryan Dumas of Sycamore.
Dumas was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Jaqueline Aldape-Heredia, a 21-year-old passenger in Barrios’ vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Barrios was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
