Young MS Woman Mourning Dad’s Death ID’d As Victim In Tuesday Yazoo County Fatal Head-On Crash

YAZOO COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Skylar Cassie Beliew, of Yazoo City, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday vehicle crash in Yazoo County.

Beliew, 21, who according to social media was mourning the recent death of her father, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Bentonia Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, Beliew was operating a vehicle on Anding Oil City Road near Spires Lane in Yazoo County, when the vehicle came into head-on contact with a pickup truck around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Beliew was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.

Skylar’s father, Rex Leroy Beliew, 68, of Yazoo County, passed away at his residence on September 9, 2022.

It is unknown if the pickup driver suffered any injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
