GENESEE COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Thomas Cartmel, of Crossville, Alabama, and Deborah Burrelli, of Rochester, New York, have been identified as the victims in a Sunday night fatal vehicle crash in Genesee County, New York.
Tom Cartmel, 64 and 67-year-old Burrelli, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash near Pembroke on Sunday.
According to reports, Cartmel was operating a Dodge Ram 3500 on NY State Thruway near Slusser Road in Corfu, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle – hauling a trailer – exited the roadway and made contact with a concrete overpass around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Both occupants of the pickup truck were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
