EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Kaitlyn Jones, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night vehicle crash in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Jones, 23, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Baton Rouge Saturday night.
According to reports, Jones was traveling as a passenger in a Ford Mustang operated by a 22-year-old male, when for unknown reason, possibly speed related, the vehicle exited Airline Highway and made contact with a metal guardrail and a concrete pylon around 9 p.m. Saturday.
The driver was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
Jones was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
