POTTER COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Sonny Reynolds and Crystal Taylor-Reynolds, of Panama City, Florida, have been identified as the victims in a Thursday fatal vehicle crash in Potter County, Texas.

Sonny and Crystal, both 51, were involved in a fatal multi-vehicle crash involving a U-Haul box truck, a pickup truck and a semi-tractor Thursday morning near Amarillo.

According to reports, Sonny was operating in a U-Haul box truck hauling a car trailer and Crystal was following behind him in a pickup truck, when for unknown reasons, a semi-tractor crossed centerlines and slammed into the U-Haul head-on. The pickup truck then rear-ended the U-Haul around 10 a.m. Thursday.

The U-haul and the big-rig then burst into flames.

Sonny was pronounced dead on the scene of blunt trauma and thermal injuries.

Crystal and the semi-truck driver were transported to area hospitals with serious unknown injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
