KANDIYOHI COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Justin Ecker, of Lees Summit, Missouri, Jonathan Ecker, of Rosendale, Missouri and Carol Ecker, of Kansas City, Missouri, have been identified as the victims in a Thursday triple-fatal vehicle crash in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota.
Justin, 41, Jonathan, 39, and 64-year-old Carol, were all killed in an Suv crash involving a big-rig near Willmar Thursday night. Jennifer Mcginness, 35, of Elmo, Missouri, was critically injured.
According to reports, Justin was operating an SUV on Highway 40 near Willmar, when the vehicle came into contact with a semi-tractor hauling a milk tanker, operated by 57-year-old Ralph Enderle of Raymond. The tank fell on the SUV during the wreck.
All three family members died of injuries suffered in the crash at the scene. Mcginness was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The semi driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
